November 3, 2020 General Election

All Placer County voters will receive a vote by mail ballot this election. Ballots will begin mailing October 5th. If you misplace, spoil, or do not receive your first ballot call our office to receive a replacement vote by mail ballot.

Important Dates

July 1, 2020

Last day resolutions and boundary maps can be presented to the Elections Office to guarantee placement of a measure on the ballot.

July 13, 2020

Candidate filing begins.

August 7, 2020

Close of regular candidate filing period. Extended candidate filing period begins for some offices.

August 7, 2020

Last day to file arguments.

August 12, 2020

Close of extended candidate filing period.

August 17, 2020

Last day to file rebuttal arguments for and against all measures.

September 24, 2020

First day County Voter Information Guides may be mailed to voters.

October 5, 2020

First day ballots will begin mailing to voters. In-person voting begins during regular business hours at the Elections Office in Auburn and the Elections Warehouse in Rocklin.

October 12, 2020

Columbus Day, open to the public 9AM – 4PM

October 19, 2020

Last day to register for this election.

October 20, 2020

First day of conditional voter registration.

October 27, 2020

Last day to request a vote by mail ballot by mail.

October 31, 2020

First day Voter Service Centers are open. The hours for October 31 are 8AM – 4PM; November 1/2 are 9AM – 5PM

November 3, 2020 – ELECTION DAY!

The Elections Office in Auburn, Elections Warehouse in Rocklin, and the Voter Service Centers will be open from 7AM – 8PM
