Unsigned Vote by Mail Envelope

Recently our office received your Vote-by-Mail ballot for the June 7, 2016 Presidential Primary Election. Unfortunately the return envelope did not contain your signature. By law, in order to process your ballot your signature must be provided on your return ballot envelope. 


In order to count your ballot, please complete the enclosed Unsigned Ballot Statement and return it to the Office of Elections for processing. We must receive your signed statement before 5:00 pm on June 15th. Postmarks cannot count.


You may return the completed statement by one of the following methods:


  • By Mail: Your statement may be returned by mail using the enclosed return envelope.

  • In Person to the Placer County Office of Elections: The Office of Elections is located at 2956 Richardson Drive in Auburn and offers full service for voters Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, or 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on the following weekends:  May 28th/29th and June 4th/5th. The Office of Elections will also be open during Memorial Day and the extended business hours of 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day, June 7th. For after hours service, you may deposit your ballot in our 24-hour, drive-up, drop-off ballot box located in front of our office. 

  • By Fax: You may return your signed statement by fax to: (530) 886-5682.
